WELCOME

The Alex McCarthy Lab is a research lab at the Centre for Bacterial Resistance Biology (CBRB), Department of Infectious Diseases, Imperial College London, UK. The lab investigates 1) the role that inhibitory immune receptors play in fine-tuning antibacterial innate immune responses and their roles in bacterial infections, 2) immune evasion mechanisms and evolution of human bacterial pathogens. We have created a creative, collaborative and open-minded lab environment.
